Apple output is much better compared to other streamers. Production values and streaming quality is to notch. But still the content is very limited. They only have the shows apple produces and very handfull of movies/shows they produce in an year. Its hard to justify to keep the subscription when compared to the likes of Netflix/Prime.
If they can licence content form studios like Netflix/Amazon does, it makes worthwile even if they increase the price.

You do realize what you're saying is you actually prefer quantity over quality ?

I wonder when content providers will realize (again) they can make more money selling their content to Netflix rather than trying to run an independent streaming service.

Good on Apple for creating quality shows, now they just need to find a better way to “sell” them.

Apple have some great stuff. Really enjoyed Severance and Silo.

We're working our way through Presumed Innocent right now. The issue I have with that particular series is that Jake Gyllenhaal is a completely unconvincing 'everyman'. He's great in some stuff (like Nightcrawler), but as an ADA with a wife and two kids in the suburbs, I just don't buy him in the role... at all. Not helped by the fact that i've seen the Alan J Pakula adaption of the same novel starring Harrison Ford in the Rusty Sabich role. One of Harrison's greatest strengths was playing ordinary guys in extreme situations, like The Fugitive, Presumed Innocent, Frantic etc. He was always completely convincing. Jake, ehhh, not so much.

I think they have a lot of great quality series, such as Foundation, For All Mankind, The Morning Show, Severance and Ted Lasso. And also a lot of very entertaining series like Slow Horses, Shining Girls and Black Bird.

We watched a lot till we came to a point that we almost watched everything we wanted and cancelled for the time being (also because of the stiff raise in subscription costs). But we will surely will get a subscription in the future, when more series pop up.

If you have no quantity you also don't have quality. They have almost no animation/ kids content , little to no horror, no anime and the stuff they do have is a pretty short catalog. unless you jive perfectly to their few shows they do have then they offer you almost nothing. At best in their current form they are an add on streaming service not a persons primary.
