I hope someone can clarify this for me regarding PS3's wifi capabilities.
I was under the impression that when Sony touted the PS3 has having "built-in wi fi capability," it meant that everything that I would need for the PS3 to be a wifi machine was...you know.... built in! I thought that as long as the PS3 was connected to internet (which mine is through comcast) that it would have the ability to allow my PSP to get online via the "built in" wifi capability of my PS3. Well it seems that this is not the case as I have had no luck in getting an internet connection through my PSP. I thought it would be the same basic idea as when you go to other WiFi hotspots like Starbucks or Panera Bread and get connected. Now I am completely confused! Can someone here please explain to me in lamen's terms what Sony ACTUALLY means when they say "built in?" Also, how does this affect the new functions of the PS3/PSP with the 2.00 update? |
