Default RoboCop 2 - 2010 or 2013?

What's the best version?

In Italy they are still selling the 2010 version, but I think it was a subpar transfer.

I guess they re-did the transfer in 2013 (surely 2K) for the new RoboCop box set.

Any clue?

Nothing wrong with the transfers either.

Yep. To be honest, I will be very surprised if Robocop 2 or 3 get new transfers as they look about as good as they will ever do to my eyes - certainly a lot better than the existing Robocop transfer.

Robocop 3 has the prize for being the worst Blu-ray in my collection and that's only because its part of the trilogy set (which I bought to get Robocop 2!).

I had to do the same thing, I had to buy the trilogy set to get Robocop 2. I tried sitting through Robocop 3 again but couldn't do it. Robocop needs the new transfer.

RoboCop 2 let alone RoboCop 3, are not popular enough for the studios to gamble on remasters. Robo 2 or 3 don't even need it anyway, they look really good on Blu. It's the orignal that looks like crap which is being addressed with a remaster both because it needs it the most and because its a garentee seller. .

These films were released individually and altogether in the trilogy pack. I pre-ordered the remastered bluray of the original film a while ago and 2 I bought individually. Don't care to own 3. Peter Weller is the only RoboCop.

Robocop 3 never got an individual release. I just own the Remastered Robocop and the sequel. I have no interest in Robocop 3.

Oh, thanks for the info! Robocop 2 is now widely available in stores, but I never saw Robocop 3.

I saw the trailer and it was enough! I'm good with the two first and probably the remake!

Just got my copy of the remastered Unrated Director's Cut in the mail. This and #2 wraps things up for me.

I agree...good follow up. Loved the climatic showdown between Murphy (RoboCop) and Cain.

I like the second movie more than many people, but it's basically violence for violences' sake. That doesn't make it less entertaining (although there's some truly dumb moments in it), just less interesting than what came before. I guess I should have bought the Blu when it briefly dropped to about eight bucks not long ago on Amazon, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

I just rewatched this. It takes a while to find its heart, but eventually it becomes true Weller/Murphy. Better than I remembered it. Love the closing line : "Patience, Lewis. We're only human."

It's a fun 80's violence movie. Not as good as the original, but amusing.
