Why the H*** has this not been released? I'm starting to believe that it will never see the light of day.

It's absence is somewhat curious.

I'd pick this up day one. Of course it's not as good as the original movie, how could it? It's a solid enough sequal though that I'd definitely want.

Anyone have any inside info on why Universal hasn't released this? For a long time, this was one of the highest grossing sequels ever. I keep thinking every year as summer approaches that they will announce this, but it never happens.

It's absence on BD is baffling. I watched the DVD a few nights back, and while watchable, a BD is sorely needed.
Jaws 2 is a great sequel that gets judged too harshly.

A great sequel, top of my wishlist.
I'm baffled Universal haven't done a sequels boxset, Jaws (the brand) has been great for them over the years.

Maybe Universal will release Jaws 2 in a boxset or digipack, along with Jaws 3 & 4.

Couldn't agree more. While I will concede that the first film is superior, I find myself watching 2 more often. Along with its awesome score, there are some great shots throughout, and the special effects are still very impressive, considering they had to be practical.

Jaws 2 also has a jump scare that, no matter how many times I have seen the film and know when and where it is coming, still gets me every single time. It's just so perfectly staged and executed.
