Does anyone know when Universal will
release Dead Silence on blu-ray??

No known release date at this time. Hopefully universal will release this since they put it out on hd-dvd. There are still a TON of titles universal needs to release on blu that they put out on hd-dvd.

This was released in the UK a while back and it is region free. Does anyone knows if this is the R rated or the unrated cut? Thinking about import it since I don't think Universal has any intentions on releasing this in the US.

I have the UK release of Dead Silence, but I'm not sure if it's the R or the Unrated version, but according to their rating, and the length of the movie (which is 92 minutes), it's unrated. Here is the front and back cover of the blu-ray:

The 92 minute cut is the unrated cut. The R-rated version is only 89 minutes. I've got the UK blu-ray, and even though it doesn't have any special features, the PQ/AQ are great.

The German Blu-ray contains the Unrated Version as well, and is Region free.

Wow, never knew there was two versions of this. I rented this on DVD when it first came out and never paid attention to if it was R or unrated. I must get this soon. I don't know a lot hate on the film, I thought it was pretty spooky... a lot better than most of the garbage we have been getting!
