Default Star Trek Director's editions wish list

What would you like to see on any future release of the first 6 Trek movies in a future possible 'Director's set'

My quick list:

1. Tributes to Winfield, Butrick, Besch, Brock Peters, etc. (along with Montalban, Doohan, Kelley, & both Roddenberrys)

2. Deleted scenes from 2, 3, 4 & 6 in context with where they would have fit in the movies & comment on the reason for their exclusion. Possible even 'non-seamless branching' of these scenes as was done for X-Men 1.5

3. More footage from the first version of the Spacewalk from Trek 1

4. New commentaries from the supporting cast Koenig, Nichols, Takei

5. New Fx for Trek 5--the only movie where they were weak even for the period it came out.

6. Storyboards and information on early script versions of the movies or scenes that were never filmed.

7. Oh duh, Seamless branching for Trek 2 & 6 (I doubt it could be done for the thearical & Director's cut of trek 1)

8. The thearical version of Trek 1 throw in as a bonus if it can't be branched with the DC or perhaps even the theatrical with branching to the 'Special longer TV version'

9. A separate disc with ALL the bonus features instead of using space on the separate discs.

10. More trailers and TV spots.

11. Isolated scores for the music.

Add-ons to the original list:

12. No excessive DNR or EE

13. Movie posters used as the disc art.

Any opinions or thoughts?

Perhaps Paramount could even poll the fans on what extras they'd most like to see if they felt they couldn't include all of them.

Remastering all the films in 1080p, with no DNR or EE.

I'll add that to the list
Yea like that would happen with Paramount. I created a thread about no art on discs and got blasted for it! Ya know, that's a pretty demanding list. good luck on getting that in the near future (eghem! sarcasm) You are really missing out on the new set if you don't already have it. But there is some hope in the near future, no worries. They have to complete the set with the Next Generation movies in the fall. Maybe they'll see your "wish list" and include some of those things. There is a thread right now about this subject BTW.

1. Let William Shatner do a Director's Edition of "The Final Frontier" with new Fx

2. No excessive DNR or EE

3. Seamless branching for the Trek films which have DC's

4. Do a new cut of "Nemesis" (most importantly cut almost all of the Dune Buggy scene and re-insert the Picard/Data wine scene)

I would like to see a rebuild of the movies like TNG is getting... re-composite the effects. Not new effects... (except for maybe 5) I'm think some of the starfields in Trek 2 could be improved.

I just want the director's cut of TMP in HD. Is that too much to ask?

Default Star Trek TMP , WOK and TUDC Directors Editions/ Cuts on Blu-ray Disc

Hello Blu-Ray Disc fans , Any word yet from Paramount Home Video on Directors Editions / Cuts of Star Trek The Motion Picture , The Wrath of Khan and The Undiscovered Country and new transfers of the other Star Trek Blu-Ray Disc? I like the current Blu-Ray Discs released in 2009 are not bad just too much over processing of DNR. Plus we need Directors Editions / Cuts of TMP , TWOK and TUC on Blu-Ray Disc as well. So why not let CBS Digital restore the 1st 10 Trek films on Blu-Ray Disc can that be done?

CBS only has rights and elements for the television shows.

Paramount has the rights and elements for the movies.
