Default E.T. 2014 Blu-ray

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/ET-Th...Blu-ray/91637/

If anyone bought this, does it include both the original 1982 version as well as the censored 2002 version? Or is it just the 1982 version?

There seems to be no reviews I could find for this version (on here or on Amazon)

The back says is the 1h 55mins version of the film, I am assuming the same disc released preveously.

Spielberg now considers the 2002 special edition to be a mistake and regrets the changes he made. Really that version was just motivated by a chance for him to beat Lucas with the re-release. I bet the 2002 version will now be consigned to history and will never be commercially released again.

I got the 2-disc dvd with that laughable version on it, still sealed even. Selling it for $10,000 since it won't ever be available again. Some of the digital E.T. effects were cool and possibly better, some very bad.

I'd love to see that happen to the edited Star Wars movies too. What a bunch of dog sh#t.

The 20th Anniversary Edition of ET is less offensive than the Special Edition of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and that version is available on Blu-ray. It's too bad that they didn't include it just for a complete set like CE3K but if they had to present a single version of the film on Blu-ray I'm glad its the original version.
