It's been several weeks since gohastings.com has had a decent sale on used movies. Had been predictable that they'd start at least a 30% or 40% off sale every week. Since the merger announcement, all we've seen are worthless "Deep Discount" sales. Hastings has been operating at a loss for some years, so I'm wondering if we'll see a permanent end to heavy discount sales when the merger goes through (sounds like a done deal to me) and they go private.
I haven't heard anything about the sale/merger in the past couple of weeks. Any business or financial experts want to weigh in on the future of Hastings? |
