i have a problem but its with blu-ray games aka PS3 games when i put the disc in or try to play a demo i downloaded off of the PSN it would make this weird annoying sound and the sound sounds like its coming from the tv not the ps3 but i cant even play my ps3 games without any sound since i would have to turn it to mute so i wouldnt have to listen to that

It may be the disc itself. I know when I first got Planet Earth it had the same thing where there looked like a digital noise with white specks flashing on and off at certain spots. This happened at the exact same spot and location everytime I played back. I had the disc's replaced and no problems. Do these "spots" show up in the exact same spot everytime you playback? Are these like tiny white spots or specks or is this a bigger part of the image?

Try adjusting the settings on your TV i.e turning your brightness down a bit. It's just noise in the movie and it's amplified by the factory "wow" settings on your TV. On my Bravia there is a picture setting called Vivid, this setting made some scenes in Planet Earth flash. I turned the picture setting to normal and everything is cool now. Not all movies do this btw...I've only experienced it with Planet earth.

Hope this helps

No issues with mine at all. Out of 85 BD's and 9 games none have buggered up in any way... so far.
