Default Death Become Her

Anyone got word on this Blu release?

I'm told that there are a ridiculous amount of deleted scenes as well. It'd be nice to see those on the DVD and restored as well - if not edited into the movie. Frankly, it'd be nice to see this in Widescreen as the Region 1 DVD was 4:3.

EDIT : I just noticed I mispelled the title.

No word yet, but it would be nice for this to be released in OAR instead of crappy fullscreen.

Agreed.

I'd even be happy with a DVD upgrade. With deleted scenes please.

This will be a day 1 purchase when it comes out. Anything Meryl Streep is usually something I buy.

Been waiting on a really cool special edition for DEATH BECOMES HER forever. Esp with the deleted scenes and alt ending.

Would be cool to have it in HD in widescreen and lossless audio

What was the alternative ending? I never heard of that before.

The original ending from what I heard was that Ernest had decided to stay with Mad and Hel for whatever reason to help them maintain their looks... There was also a fourth character a bar-tender who along with them three moved to Switzerland 37 years later as Mad and Hel needed to stay out of public view... At the end we see Ernest and the bar-tender hiking/walking together - they have aged but are happy together and are truly in love, while Mad and Hel have become bored and bitter with immortality having watched all their family and friends die over the years... The scene ends with Mad and Hel looking down at them from a mountain (still flawless looking) and bitter Mad turns to Hel and scoffs "Aren't you glad you aren't like them?", Helen with sorrow in her eyes and heart lies and says "Yes".. The scene (apparently) then fades to black

I would love a Blu Ray of this. Great looking film.
Commentary by Streep, Hawn and Willis?

I adore this movie and would definitely purchase it. Zemeckis is always so enthusiastic about his home video releases, so I know a release with his input would be pretty substantial. Fingers crossed...

This is one of my most wanted titles. I'd kill to have it on Blu-ray, but at this point I'd settle for a special edition DVD. I'm really surprised they never re-released it, as this movie was quite successful when it was first released to theaters. It's not like it's some obscure movie. Universal needs to wise up and give the fans what they want.

I always enjoyed watching this movie even if back then it truly bomb. I never quite imagine so many others would enjoy it as well.

I was just thinking about this movie the other day. I haven't seen it in a very long time, but would love for it to be released on BD.

It's always amazed me for what a box office hit this film was, and the major talent involved, that it's basically spit upon for it's home releases.

It's such a fabulous movie, and the digital work on it is pretty frickin' amazing for the time it was made.

I would love to see this on Blu-ray as well, especially with the alternate ending and deleted scenes.

You can see Tracey Ullman's character (the bartender and love interest of Bruce Willis at the end) two or three times in the trailer if you want a tiny peek at what the deleted scenes could be.

Also, I just noticed that an HD version of this was added to Netflix recently. I checked and it's definitely widescreen (something we've never had on DVD).

This movie was so great! So glad to see it getting the love and attention it deserves.

Also, this is hands-down the best Goldie and Meryl have ever looked onscreen. After they each drink "the potion," their respective beauty is pretty much incredible.

And ironically enough, as characters, each actress is undoubtedly at her ugliest, lol.

But then, I guess that was the whole point, wasn't it?
