I would say yes...I don't work there or anything, but my wife and her friend do that quite often. Besides, you could always say that it was a gift and you didn't get a receipt.
I think Walmart has a policy of taking things back without a receipt. If its over $20 and there is no receipt, you can return things 3 times. After that, I think that you have to wait 6 months.

I would say more than likely, but don't hold me to it. Again, I don't work there, but my wife and her friend seem to make a living off of taking things back to stores.

They'll give you store credit. I do it all the time.

i think they give you a lower amount of store credit than the controllers are actually worth. Every time I return something there without a receipt I get less than the merch was when I ought it =(

Typically, retail computers know what the "lowest selling price" was within a certain time period (usually 30, 60, or 90 days), and that's the amount of credit they will offer someone on a return, if the person can't show how much they actually paid for the item. So, if they had the controllers on sale for $39.99 or something recently, that's what you would get back... even if you had paid regular price.
