According to SONY japanease website, it's Nov.30. Sorry, in Japan only so far.
But I'm a bit suspicious if it is the fact.

I'm not even the biggest fan of this movie, but I would buy it in a second for the PQ if it were released in the states

From what I told Nomura wanted it pushed back until spring but you never know

Well, the cool thing about Japan is that it's region A just like the US so you can import it.

Now hopefully when it is released the import price is a little lower than the current ghost in the shell movie prices, I like blu and would pay a bit more than normal for anime straight from the source, but $70+ is a little much for me right now.

last time i checked the head of euro sony said the title will be out in 2007 for europe only !!!

I loved the movie, but just thought the PQ was a bit too soft (inetntional effect), apparently the blu-ray transfer was supposed to be less soft & more sharp

Thats what i wanted for this release so a release date for europe would be great although i doubt it's ut till next year as it's not listed at all for pre-order on european blu-ray pre-order listings

The Blu-Ray version also was edited to make it more grittier (not grain, but more the fact that people get dirty when fighting). Can't wait to get this, imported or not!

The date got posted on the release calendar at Sony's Japanese web site. It's incorrect however, and the title has not been solicited with retailers. There's just no way they could get it out on this short notice, and there's been no announcement through the usual channels. Afraid you'll just have to have patience and keep waiting.

So.. this won't be out soon? But I heard about what they plan to do for the HD release... like adding more dirt and details...

Either way, when it is out in Japan will it have English subtitles? Or will it be out in US around the same time?

"complete edition" will include foreign languages tracks
think we can hope for subtitles then

They will certainly make 1 disc for the world on this title. Yes it'll have subs, and will be the same thing you can buy in the US probably within a month or two of release
