Default Target giving Blu more space

here's a picture of our new hd display after the most recent revision. 5ft. of blu and 2 ft. of hd-dvd.

maybe Target should consider changing all their store signs from red to blu

The Target in my town looks like that too. 10 rows of blu-rays and 5 rows of hd dvds looking squished right next to it.
Thanks for the pic.

the targets around here have a nice blu-ray display similar to that of best buy, with the sony bdp-s300 playing previews of blu-ray movies was grabbing alot of attention, they were sold out of the stand alone players

Am I the only one that gets annoyed by the DUD logo that's also above the Blu section?

There's a Blu-Ray logo above the HD DVD section though so it evens out. In the end everyone's just that much more confused so everybody wins!

They are no different than any other B & M store. They have more Blu's but they still have dud's on they're shelves.

I agree. I bought one from BB(300) and 21 from amazon. B&M is just way to much. Sorry if I sound like an A2 owner , j/k

The are typically less than Best Buy and it doesn't seem to bother people that Best Buy is high priced since they are currently the largest retailers of Hi Def Media.

The two targets by me both now have end cap displays with a HDTV, s301 and some extra BR movies underneath!

My Target has the same lopsided ratio, but I never see them sell anything. Every movie is $30+. Even my BB kicks some new releases down to $25 occasionally. Out of 4 local Wal-Marts, none of them really have much HD media. I was hoping for my BB to get lopsided, but it is still 50:50 with HDDVD. I guess it's to be expected from Target though, they received a hefty payout from the BDA/Sony for the exclusive support this season.

I actually work at Target, and that's much of the reason I wanted to register on this forum!

Target signed an exclusive Blu-Ray deal this holiday season. Like it was mentioned above, we will carry more Blu-Ray disks than HD-DVD and also be an exclusive Blu-Ray player retailer until Jan 1.

We also have set a Blu-Ray endcap nationwide featuring a LCD TV streaming a Blu-Ray clip and a whole display of future titles.

Won't mean much to me until there is no HD-DVD in Target.

the video playing on the display is basically a flash drive running through component cables. It's NOT playing on a BD player at all. PQ isn't as good and a little disappointed. If you're trying to sell something, make it look as good as possible

2:1 isn't necessarily neutral. And the pricesa are way better than BB and CC. Don't know what you're talking about

For whatever reason the Target in my hometown is cheaper than the one where my parents live. Why'm I so lucky!
