Due for release, January 10th 2013.

This is a Contents Zone release, and therefor will NOT have English Subtitles. Personally, i'm starting to dislike this "company" - as i would love to own this, along with The Yellow Sea, and Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... And Spring. However...it is what it is.

Yeah, it's upsetting that these titles don't include English subs.

Frustrating.

Some of them include English subs.

Packaging isn't as nice, but PQ & AQ are very good.

I will be subtitling this release just like I did with #05 so if you really want this in HD and can spare $6.50 for an extra subtitled copy just let me know.

I've been waiting patiently for this to be released in HD, and that wait hasn't paid off! Hopefully this will mean another company will now be able to put it out with English subs - maybe Third Window here in the UK will put out a BD. I bought three copies of the UK DVD to show my love, as it took way too long for a UK release of this film.

Though saying that, I've seen this film so many times over the past 12 years (come a long way since a cheapy HK VCD!) that I no longer needs subs, but it would have been nice!

I have the Steelbook DVD, but will no doubt give in and grab this release too.

I think you mean the Korean LE Tin

Shame about the lack of English Subs for this release, but will most certainly add it to my collection, hope 'Contents Zone' stops releasing titles without English Subs in the future as it looks like it's becoming a silly habit now

Wow, I'd almost forgotten I have that one too. I think I bought it in Seoul years ago.
Just looked at it again and it's gorgeous! I've gotten used to G2 sized packaging and this is of course G1 so quite big. With embossed front, inside artwork, a great slipcase packaging inside plus a booklet.
Ah, those were the days...

I just watched the DVD version of this movie, and it was okay. Too bad the Blu-ray does not have any English subs.......... By the way, it kind of reminded me about "Once Upon a Time in High School" which I think was a better movie.

sorry if this question is a bit noobish. but how do i obtain a copy of this subtitled disc? are you selling this or... quite not sure. i just ordered this and would be confused without english subtitles.

Just to let you guys know that "Friends 2" had a theatrical release in November last year (2013), and I am looking forward to seeing that one as it looks really good.

The DVD release of "Friends 2" 친구2 also known as "Friend, The Great Legacy" (2013) will be out at the end of this month: 29th. April 2014 - in a two-disc release, but no news about any Blu-ray release of this sequel yet.

If anyone has seen this - let us know if it is a good part 2

My brother just bought be the Blu-ray from Korea and indeed it DOES NOT have English subtitles! ARGH! Does anyone know if there is a way I can rip the disc and reburn it with an english subtitle file?
