Hommage Collection Blu-ray Thread

As I'm a huuuuge fan of Korean Cinema and DVD/BD LE collection I thought I'd jump on creating a dedicated thread for the Hommage Collection by Content Zone, which looks like it'll be a competitor to CJ-Ent, will get both never-the-less as I'm a completist and a fan of these flicks

This prestige collection is for some of the best Korean classic flicks getting released on Blu-ray format, CJ-Ent is mixed old and new releases on Blu-ray format but from the looks of things I think this Hommage Collection is more like for the classics (the oldies & goodies) ones that deserves a special packaging (Digi-Book Style - aka Coffee Book) and Remastered Video & Sound specs, also limited in quantity & numbered.

Are you going to open them?

I ordered Christmas In August at kimchidvd and it went out of stock the next day. I sure hope that means they took my order before they edited the website.

Most likely yeah even though I already have them on DVD LEs but really can't wait to watch them in HD

There are two pics about the inside of Christmas In August, and no pages inside. So i'd like call this a digipack than a digibook.

Oh DJ, you are killing me man....numbered and a series? oh no need to think about this...CJ series are enough for me

I really don't like the fact that they make it look like a digibook but don't put any pages inside. We're paying around $35 for these releases. Least they could do is make the packaging rival its DVD release. In fact, I would be happy if they just used the same packaging for both and put a sticker or obi with the DVD/BD logo on the cover.

Clearly they're making more copies of "One Fine Spring Day," as mine is #1419, and "Christmas In August" was limited to 1000.

"Spring" comes with 7 postcards, "August" comes with a small booklet. The digibooks are nice, but I wish they came with something more substantial.

The picture quality on both is obviously hi-res (lots of detail), but unrestored (occasional white specks).

I certainly hope they keep it going - the Chinese DVD I'd had of "One Fine Spring Day" wasn't even anamorphic!

I threw away the plastic wrap when I opened mine. I had no idea the cellophane was numbered. What a dumb idea to make the wrapping limited edition.

Oh well, good collection so far, though. Would be better if the actual case was numbered.

Anyway, Great thread idea!

you serious? I better check when I get home then. i may have thrown out the number myself.

mine's got a little silver sticker on the back with the number on it. nothing on the wrapper.

If anyone is thinking of getting Christmas In August I would recommend getting it ASAP. It seems to be going up in price on ebay already.

Yep, just ordered one from ebay for 40 bucks with shipping. All shops are out of stock with limited edition. Those Korean limited releases sold out really fast, that pisses me off little bit because also they not so cheap.

That's right, glad I have it in my collection, these releases will be much rarer than CJ-Ent IMHO

I wonder why A Bittersweet Life BD Coffebook LE set from last year wasn't part of this series as it was released by Contents Zone, also what'd you guys think will be next in line to come out from this series?
