Default Sony LCD with LED Backlight

I just found out about Sony working a new generation of LCD TVs with LED Backlight of course we all know Samsung has this in their 81 series LCD's. Thought this was interesting to read. Of course it will be a while before the good ole USA gets this technology from Sony... Enjoy reading...

I would tend to think LED is the way to go... more contrast, less power consumption, more brightness... it's just a matter of time.
