Ace Combat 6 coming to PS3? - Blu-ray Forum

I think that I'm kinda late with this news but I haven't seen it on this site.

Ace Combat 6 is now only a timed exclusive for the 360, I always saw the potential for how much greater the game would be on the PS3. Check out some of the screenshots on IGN.com the graphics look just like Ace combat 5. I read an article a while back about what the developers were trying to do with this game, I didn't think it was going to be possible on a game DVD. The later PS3 release may benefit PS3 owners just like Oblivion did.

From my previous experiences of AC demos and screenshots of 6 I'm finding it difficult to get excited about. If you're really into flight combat I'm sure it's a very solid game but to someone that likes to try the best of everything it seems quite ordinary.

Are you talking about screenshots and demo for the PS3 version?

Yeah, but it will be exclusive like Ridge Racer 7. By that I mean that it will be exactly the same game.

It's just minor tweaks here an there, generally speaking the game engine is the same and the whole dynamic is the same.

Those many small changes (I think the extra vehicle customisation is quite a big addition) are what made the game worth playing for me, RR6 is basically Ridge Racers in high def, I'd already played that so it wasn't worth it.

I for one, loved the Ace Combat Series. I was really disappointed when I found out that the new Ace Combat is 360 exculsive. Has anyone heard any news/rumors if they will bring the series to the PS3 in the future?

It will eventually come out for PS3, it just won't be called AC6. It may be the next iteration or they may also port it over and just rename it similar to what they did with Sigma.

It's only a matter of time before versions of all three games hit PS3. They've sold pretty poorly so far and the largest concentrated audience for these games is Japanese PS3 owners.

I've always enjoyed the Ace Combat series as well. Even if it only sells in Japan, I'd be happy.

It's a timed exclusive. This was from a Gamestop employer, and he is pretty reliable.
