are there any plans to bring this game to PS3? And would this even be a PS3 game? I was very surprised to see Tomb Raider on xbox and xbox 360.

I had a PSone and then i skipped PS2 and stopped playing video games for a while so I have no idea when or why everything has changed.

Twisted Metal: Black was so sexy. I would definitely buy it, as long as EA didn't publish it. I read today from a gaming site that EA screwed up the orangbox so bad that it is basically "unplayable".

SCEA owns the Twisted Metal series IP.

David Jaffe (creater of twisted metal) left scea and opened up his own studio (eat, sleep, play). They are making a ps2 port of twisted metal:head on that will basically be an upgraded twisted metal 2 and a bunch of levels that were supposed to be in the sequel to twisted metal black. The game will have online mp as well. It was originally planned for a dec release but got pushed back to early 08'.

As of now there is no plans on bringing a twisted metal game to the ps3.

I would buy a PS3 in addition to my standalone if they came out with a new Twisted Metal. I put countless hours of my life into the first one!

This used to be my favorite game back in the day. I would be interested to see how a new one looks an dplays on the ps3.

I have read the same thing. EA has really fallen from grace.

Twisted Metal is by far one of the best playstation games of all time. i think i have beat these games with every car possible.

They have Twisted Metal 2 on the Playstation Store. I downloaded it and it's still awesome

I have not heard that but it is good news. I mean a NEW Twisted Metal for PS3 would be awesome.. but it may suck. Re-vamping TM2 with online play will be guaranteed fun. I can't wait if this is true.

I'm really surprised that we haven't seen a new Twisted Metal. It seems like a franchise that someone really dropped the ball on. I think there was some kid's version of Twisted Metal that came out last, so I guess the execs thought that since a kiddie version of Twisted Metal didn't do well, that the franchise was dead. It is really amazing what PS3 car based games can do. I really hope someone pulls their head out of their ass and gets to work on a good Twisted Metal sequel.

i think i read that they were just going to release and sell one of the old ones on PSN. Haven't heard aboot a new one

Actually it is going to be a PS2 game basically a port of the PSP Head On Twisted Metal game, with addition of some Twisted Metal Black 2 maps that never made it.

If you have not played Head On, it plays like Twisted Metal 2 and is from that storyline.. a great game, but nothing really new.

It is really doubtfull right now for a PS3 Twisted Metal game, but I love the series also and would buy it no doubt.. I cannot understand why they never followed up Black.. I know it sold well..

Twisted Metal Head on was a good psp game. That would be sweet if they made one for the PS3.
