Confused by disney reward code auctions

Hi,

I look for Blu Ray deals on ebay sometimes and lately have seen lots of auctions for the Disney Rewards codes inside the Blu Ray's being sold.

I don't think I can use my code for Cars because I have put in the code for my Cars DVD in the past and I see auctions for this code currently up to $18.

That makes zero sense to me. Why not bid on the whole Blu Ray for that price?

I really want to sell my code but then I can't imagine why people would bid on it unless they were confused and thought they were bidding on the actual disc.
