Default Engadgethd take on Blu

I happened to be among the first ones to find the news concerning the WinDVD Blu support on engadget, and their take on this was so biased I just had to answer (Me = Greg).
In the grand scheme of things, this is very little news, but it was more on principle.
Do you think I was wrong to call Ben out on the way the news sniplet was written?

How does it feel to bang your head against a wall ?

Seriously, you are spot-on with your responses there. The only problem is that you are a loner in a sea of sharks there that only see red. You have a factual argument that they are attacking with faulty, outdated rhetoric. Stay strong!

I might just have to sign up there...

We do this to both sides. Go read 51GB posts, we said similar things.

The truth is both sides have their spin and we'd like to say we call them out every time, but we don't have a prefect record.
i'd pretty much have to agree with him

Agree on what?

That Corel's press release that their software DVD player has been certified 1.1 is Blu Ray spin?

1) How is that spin, unless you think their player doesn't either exist or can actually do the PiP yet

2) If they find the news unimportant, why treat it, just to call it spin? (which to me it's obvisouly not. Rather unimportant anouncement yes. But "spin"?)

I really didn't understand how they could think it's spin either.

Profile 1.1 is done. Movies are being made for it and will be coming out early next year and now I know that I can get software to play it for my PC if I so choose.

I felt like the comment about it being spin was completely unnecessary. It's certainly PR for the sake of PR, but it's not spun in anyway
