Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Review - 9.5 - Incredible.

Nostalgia can be a powerful thing. I've gone back to games from the 8- and 16-bit era that I thought were absolutely brilliant then only to find them quaint by today's standards. It's an issue that's exacerbated all the more by the PS one's almost painful handling of most 3D graphics and gameplay that -- in a very real sense -- was struggling to properly move into three dimensions. Symphony of the Night has none of those problems; it takes everything that was good about 2D gaming and adds a fantastic amount of depth, tight controls and rock-solid gameplay, making it easily the best game you can get on the PlayStation Store right now -- and it'll probably stay that way until Konami decides to release MGS.

Yeah, and it's really a great game, I still have it on a PS1 CD (If you like 2D games).

I have keep other great games that should be on the PSN, like FF tactics, the FF series (anthology, origins, VII, VII, IX), Einhander, Bushido blades (Hum I think I'm a sqaresoft fan lol! ) and Resident Evil (1,2,3).

You can sell SOTN on ps1 and make upward to $50. That seems to be what people want for it on ebay.

I still have my copy in mint condition. I bought it the 1st day it came out. Other hard to find classics I have:

I still have Symphony on PS1. I'll probly get the PSP release of it at some point too.
