I loved Enter and Mother earth (first 2 albums), but Silent force is utter "Evanescence like" garbage, hope there are lots of first period songs

Ha, yeah, I like their later stuff more (and the older stuff too). Have you heard "Heart of Everything" (I think) their newest? It's good stuff. Looking forward to this BR.

Loved there new album. It was a lot better than Silent Force. Might have to pick this up. All I need now is Queensryche on Blu-ray!

Anyone know if the Europe Blu-ray of this will play on an American PS3? Maybe it's a stupid question, but the Blu-ray version is not available over here and I want this.

It's region free but i don't know if it's in 1080i... if it's in 1080i 50hz it won't play on any US player but select one (like Samsung for example). Seems to be in 1080i, so don't import it because EU CE film in 50hz when they use 1080i, witch cancel out the region free thing. I'am hoping that the Oppo Bluray player will read those

I have high hopes for it working for a few reasons:

1) The official WT site and forum say in many places it should play in the US - I surely hope this means they actually tried it in a US player with a display not capable of 50hz.

2) Amazon.com (US) has the import listed for sale to be released next week. They've done this with some other import Blu-Ray's as well. Again, for them to carry it, I hope that means there was some sort of confirmation it works in the US.

3) I have not seen any complaints from any US users yet.

Now maybe there aren't any US buyers that have taken a chance yet. I'll tell you this - if I get this and it can't play, I will make sure I post it on every forum I can.

PS - I have a PS3, a BD30 and a BDP-S1 so I will be able to try it on multiple players. I assume the most important test will be on the PS3.

In a nutshell, the last post seems to be from the admin or the production company stating "all footage has been converted to 60hz to insure perfect playability in both Europe and the US.".

I'll leave it up to you all on whether you wait on my feedback or not.

I ordered this a while back and it shipped on the 5th from Amazon.fr-- I'm hoping to get it any day now. I'll let people know as soon as I get it.

Damn, I really hope this one works. I'm a huge fan of symphonic metal. While I'd prefer a blu ray of therion and/or nightwish a lot more, I can happily say that WT is definitely good enough for me to want to have this. Yes! Keep us updated, please!

Both S1 and PS3 should Crash or Reboot with 50hz material. I know that my Tiesto make the PS3 crash and the S350 reboot endlessly. With the BD30 (wittch i owned) if you have FW 1.6+ you will see the menus, sound but no picture (black screen). With FW 1.4 and less you'll see the whole thing.

If it plays on the PS3, then it's 60i....
