Unless I'm reading the article wrong, this sounds like it may just be the 60 minute rooftop concert, and not the expansive 3-part documentary series that's currently on Disney Plus with the same name.

edit: Yep, I read it wrong. As mentioned below it's the whole thing

I think you’re treading it wrong. The Rooftop Experience will get a release, then in a different sentence the articule says.

Additionally, Get Back will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in the United States on Feb. 8.
Then goes on to talk about Get Back, currently streaming on Disney+.

Oh, awesome! I wasn't sure based on how some things were worded there. That's really great news then.

Yeah, I wasn't sure because the bulk of the article seemed to be referring to just the 60 min concert getting a theatrical release. And wasn't sure if that's what they referred to at the end when mentioning a BD release. But jkoffman added further confirmation that it's the whole series, so that's awesome.

I'll be getting the biggest/most expensive edition, whatever it may be.

I know it's not regarded that well, but I would still like to see "Let it Be" finally come out on disc. Lindsay-Hogg mentioned he was hoping "Get Back" would finally be the doorway to have his original film out there again as well. It's an historical film, if nothing else.

Regardless, "Get Back" is superior in every way, and I'm glad it's coming to disc instead of stuck in Disney streaming hell forever.

Glad that this one is escaping from Disneys tentacles. I've really wanted to see it but screw paying for their lousy service.

I'm in the market for this day one. But I have reservations based on Jackson's box set output in the past. With LOTR we got theatrical release box sets, then extended sets, etc. I don't want to keep buying this one.

Maybe all the horribly scrubbed grain will "get back" into the image so it actually looks decent.

considering this was originally supposed to be a theatrical film that would have been (presumably) 2-3 hours, and now it's morphed into a 3 part miniseries that's nearly 8 hours long, i highly doubt it could be extended again. This is likely it.

Don’t hold me to this, but of the few Jackson interviews I’ve read on it — there are many — it sounds like he has very little control over it once he completed the project. I imagine it’s really in The Beatles/Apple’s hands due to all the music rights and such.
