Not liking all these steelbooks coming out in China with such small print runs and really high prices.

I wish for someone to extend the runs at normal prices, below £20 a pop. Sorry if I sound sour about it, but at the end of the day it seems all these threads from blu fan exclusives are just there to brag.

I also think its a bad idea to post threads where you have to go through one or two people to get group buys going. Everyone should be able to buy the product on their own just like with every other release.

I will get this if it ends up being the only option for a steelbook for this.

It's also the only current option to get 3D and 2D together for the movie other than paying the extra $5 to Disney for a 2D disc.

agreed
I'd snap up pretty much any Disney title on Steel, even if its a case of double dipping, but these blufans prices are ridiculous (£50 odd for a single steel? no thanks)

The one or two people doing group buys are only helping the community -- not hurting it.

If you don't like it, you could always move to China I suppose and get your own, but I for one am very appreciative of guys like Kevin who run the group buys.

ya kind of why he would say that, group buys are not easy and are many cases a lot of work; more work then $5/book is worth especially if having to pickup in store.

From retailers that ship internationally with cheap(ish) shipping then yes its not really that big of savings to do a group buy. If the retailer for that item doesn't ship internationally then what? If you want a Steelbook from China, Canada, etc, how you plan on getting it?

That's not the intention of companies such as Blufans. It's just simply the fact that some don't ship to America, so people are doing us favors by buying them for us and then sending them to us.

I understand there is only generosity given by the group buy members here.

Blu fans should just set up a webpage, use paypal and be done with it. Its that simple. Having low print runs, high prices and strict rules and policy makes it even sillier.

If Battlefield Earth got a steelbook and a 1000 print run I would imagine that would be fair. But Wreck It Ralph, Oz and all these others could sell out 4000 in no time at all. So it works out that 1000 get lucky, whilst how many thousands go without.

This is not a blufans forum. We were not invited to the party. I don't see why you don't get that.

I don't think this is true. Where do you get your info from?

It's not the ONLY option, but there is no US release that has the 2D + 3D blu's in it. Importing from the UK will get you that too.
Though I'd love to be PM'd if a GB is happening for this. Might end up too rich for my blood, but I'd try.

Guys like "K" or "J" are living from these? i don´t think so, but they have profit from these YES, who can think they are doing these just for help? come on they are not charity, they have the exclusive from blufans to do these GB and i can bet they get a better price for getting a LOT of them, i am business man i know how things works, if you want to accept it that is OK if not and you think they are SAINTS then its fine too, i don´t care anyway.

All we need is more prints and stores making the same "exclusives" reachable to everyone.

Collecting is NOT getting overpriced items and ALWAYS from the same "GUYS"

Two types of slips, only choose one slip per order.

Type A: The 3D slip

Type B: Hollow-Out Slip with 5 interchangable postcards

Can't wait to get this one!

I agree. I really wish they weren't so much. The only blufans I have so far is WiR and that was a lot. I would love to get this but the prices are a lot right now for me.

Hey if you guys don't like it, then don't buy it!

I think it looks amazing and is worth the price (but not both of them). Can't wait for these to come out!

These blufans releases have actually forced my to now buy sensible lol instead of rushing and buying loads if the old cheap steel releases that still are available like Shaun of dead, hot fuzz etc. I'm not waiting and saving the money to buy the nicer releases like these.

I've now got WIR & Face off blufans ordered and ill hopefully try and get this. I never intended getting face off but a jack giant slayer cost me nearly £40 to import so I thought if I'm paying nearly £40 for a steel that's probably going to be nothing special then I might of well order face off lol in a way it was a good lesson learnt learn as blufans guarantee quality so its £30-40 well spent.

I love the fact that you can choose which slip style you want. I originally though 3D lenticular but now I'm more torn between the cut out one.

If Bluraysteel says it's happening that's money in the bank.
