Not a bad show, but I won't be paying $35 for a 2 disc season. Get below $20, then ill consider.

Who knows what it will actually end up costing when it is actually released. You can't just go by what the price is when a Blu-ray first goes up for pre-order. 99.9% of the time it's never that price when it is released.

I'm surprised they are releasing this so soon. The first season will have just wrapped up on SyFy not long before this comes out. (Yes, I'm aware the first season ended a while ago on Showcase in Canada.)

If it'll really even be that much. It's not out until March, so most likely it's not the final price.

I just said that. Keep up.

I have now seen the Pilot two times. Once when it first aired on Showcase in Canada, and now again when it aired on SyFy. I guess I'll be watching it a third time now.

I just hope the censoring of language was because it was on iTunes and not SyFy's doing. Not that this will likely have much of it overall, but it was still noticeable the two times the word was taken out.

Your post wasn't there when I started typing.

I was thinking earlier that I would just wait until the season comes out to watch and now I'm definitely going to since it's not too long from now.

So glad this is getting a blu-ray release and do hope the price goes down. Getting it regardless

Obviously, but I still had to say it.

I would have waited to watch the Pilot over again and then the rest of the season if I had known this was coming out on Blu-ray for sure. Given how some TV shows only come out on DVD, I wasn't sure. Oh well, it's not like I will mind watching the Pilot yet again.

I know. There wasn't much of course, but the only time I noticed any censoring was when I just recently watched the SyFy broadcast of it via iTunes. We'd likely be getting whatever SyFy broadcasts since it's being released by Universal. In the end, it wouldn't keep me from buying this. It's just a minor annoyance.

Well, that's your own fault for watching the show many times already.

I've enjoyed what I've seen on the SyFy channel but it has been so hard to keep up with it ontop of my other shows and with my ever increasing work hours. I think I might just wait and pick up this release for a weekend marathon in March.

But I am curious about something. What I've seen so far seem rather episodic and character-of-the-week (like "Grimm"). Can someone tell me if it stays that way throughout the first season or if it becomes more serialized?

Enjoyed the two episodes i've seen but will wait for a low price before i pick this up. Hopefully it's unedited.

OT: Were the Lost Girl blus the original Canadian versions or the SyFy edited versions?

Original Canadian versions, but those weren't released by Universal. They were released by FUNimation.

I would be surprised if Universal didn't stick with whatever is being shown on SyFy. In the end, it's not going to keep me from buying this though as this isn't like Lost Girl.

it's on a cable channel up here so swearing and nudity are fine. same channel shows Lost Girl and Justified.

is it any good? i recorded the episodes to watch but just haven't gotten that far yet. it looked like it might have potential.

I've watched every episode twice already and the pilot and finale a third time. I've been eagerly awaiting a blu-ray release for this. I'm pre-ordering it tonight.

Amazon.com shows Lost Girl as being uncut on blu-ray so maybe this will be too.

We're getting it next week in the UK, the series finished it's SyFy run late last year. DVD only though and I really want to see this in HD. I'm happy to wait for a price-drop and a region free release.

Odd, I believe Canadian iTunes left all the language in. I suspect US iTunes is using whatever SyFy gave them, so I guess I would blame SyFy!

Great show by the way, I finished Season 1 a long time ago and have been eagerly awaiting S2.
