Default Is rampant 4:3 cropping in our future?

What do you think? Can we expect a cropped Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind, etc. on Blu Ray rather than the original 1.37:1 to fill a 16:9 television screen?

I'm concerned that with different screen dimensions than older sets a couple of things could happen:

1) 1.37:1 films will be cropped to fill a 16:9 screen.
2) That no one will be interested in these films anymore because they're pillarboxed and it'll be the same situation that black and white films are in...in that some people refuse to watch them.

Thoughts?
