I've notice some of our more well-known red supporters from AVS and HDD are
branching out to the smaller, less populated forums now. Are they scare? Don't
know, but they sure are trying to spread the FUD and discourage people from
drawing their on conclusions about current rumors.

Absolutely.

The arguable Grand King of FUD and BS Mountain graced us on this board a few days ago even using his well known, notrious screen name from the past. Of course he did that on purpose.

When I see stuff like that and I see the obvious viral marketing burst that you're referring to, it tells me only one thing:

BD's victory draweth nigh. They're scared, desperate, and they know time is now very limited.

The rumours are rumours at this point, and if people believe them to be true then that would obvious boost Blu-ray sales and depress HD DVD sales leading to a self-fulfilling prophecy situation.

But, I'm utterly shocked that Rob Enderle's latest is a damage management (we wanted downloads anyway) piece. It's almost capitulation for him.

the mere fact that HD DVD was being touted as DVD's replacement but is not in all of the Markets that Standard DVD is in..should tell people something. Blu-Ray is the ONLY HD optical format that is in all the consumer markets that standard DVD is in. that's eactly why i refer to Blu-Ray as a REPLACEMENT for Standard DVD but HD DVD is a stop gap until Digital Downloads HD DVD was never meant to replace Standard DVD.



which is why i am not buying into the HD DVD .
its a gimped format for HD MOVIE ,TV SHOW STREAMING or digital download service.

Never heard of the guy, I can't imagine being worst than Amir or Rdjam, or Rob Enderle for that matter, but then again I wasn't part of all the AVS-fiasco, so what do I know?

It's interesting to see if more and more FUD'ers slowing taking a stance of downloads are better/what we really need/etc...(Amir/Rob). If this starts to become the new "motto" then we know that it's over on the HD-DUD front and we will start seeing the new battle front of Digital Downloads...
