Default Mastering for Blu-ray

Hello everyone,

I'm Sean Burns, a VFX artist, entry-level film editor, and computer guru from New Orleans. This forum has been quite valuable for its wealth of information on digital video technology; especially on the new HD formats. With much delight I can say to everyone that I have chosen Sony's Blu-ray as my high-def format of choice. This is based off of storage sizes and market share amongst other factors. I believe that Blu-ray will win out over "HD-DUD" in the near future. When Micro$oft is defeated I will jump for joy.

I'm a much better FX guy than I am editor at the moment and need some software help. Computers are forever a part of graphics creation and I'm primarily on the Linux side of things. Being the technical build-it-yourself guy I am, I hardly ever use pre-build PCs. My programs, Maya, Nuke, Shake, blender, Lustre, Pixel, Cinepaint, GIMP etc are all native to Linux so I've rarely had to look elsewhere for software. Until now. I cannot find an application for Linux or PC that can master for Blu-ray. That is why I am here.

My Linux box is lightyears faster than my Avid editing PC so I would prefer the software be run on that.

Strangely I saw no need to use Apple's Mac platform in all of this. Although I have heard many great things about them. How much of that was the legendary Apple fanatical rhetoric I don't know but, they seem alright to me.

Specs:
Linux box:
16GB DDR2 SDRAM
2 Quad Core Barcelona CPUs
2 8800GT PCI-E-2 video cards
Areca RAID controler card
3X 500GB WD HDDs
8GB Solid State Hard Disks
DVD-RW SATA drive
Xubuntu Linux 64bit

Avid Chop box
XP Pro 32
1GB DDR 3200
160GB SATA WD HDD
AMD Athlon XP3200
DVD-RW IDE drive

I know I'll have to buy a Blu-ray burner so any suggestions on that would be appreciated.
