What's the point of pre-ordering blu-rays? Has anyone actually gone into a store the day a high profile movie was released and not been able to find a copy? Same goes for online. You could literally pre-order the week it is coming out and receive a copy, so why preorder so early? I'm just curious because I see a lot of people doing this.

I find it odd also, for run of the mill titles like these. They press so many of them they are extremely abundant, and easily found. I can't say the same for other titles. |

There really is no point, unless you don't have the time or hate going to brick and mortar stores, even then getting your shipment on release day is hit or miss. It's kind of fun to reserve something and have it to look forward to, but as far as stores running out of copies, I don't think that's the reason most ppl do it.
I do wish they'd announce the pre-order for Gravity, tho! |

Yep, exactly. I always receive mine from Amazon on release day. I have Amazon Prime.

Is this worth watching? I'm super picky on what I see in theaters but am way more accepting of purchasing a Blu-ray. (IMAX3D is $13 and a Blu-ray is usually $10-15 after I sell the extras).
Some of the recent movies I've seen...in IMAX and in order of my liking: Gravity Man of Steel Pacific Rim Star Trek Into Darkness Oblivion Elysium Riddick How much does this movie exercise the audio system? Is it truly worth the trip to IMAX 3D? |

As for the movie itself, it looks very good to me, I like what I have been hearing from Ben Kingsley, Harrison Ford, Haley Steinfeld, and Asa in interviews/talk shows and all the clips have been interesting. |

Saw this today and was kind of 'meh' on it. Didn't help that I watched Man of Steel the night before.
I thought Ender's Game felt a bit rushed, perhaps it would have been better as 2 movies...I dunno. This is the first movie I've seen in the theaters that I actually question if I want to buy it....it just didn't 'grab' me. |
