Thinking of getting the Onkyo SR-875
Is it any good ?

Kidding right. Yes! Its excellent. I would buy that model if I hadn't purchased the 805 first. 140 watts per channel. Up-conversion to 1080p. Handles all sound formats and is future proof for the next 10 years at least.

Well according to the European Website it handles 200 Watts per channel

But seriously why does the same model boast 140 Watts in North America and 200 in Europe ???

I'd like to get it but it's also very expensive. And I still would have to get loudspeakers on top.

200 watts is just half a dB more power. Maybe the slight spec rating is achieved from the 220 volt supply?
