Default What is Your First Purchase on Paramount BD?

I brought my first paramount BD and have not watched it yet...

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

Whats PQ and your opinion on that movie?

Please list your first Paramount movie on BD on this thread! I had to pick either Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow or Shooter for 29.99 each. I think my wife is going back to the movie store now and buy shooter for xmas, just have this feeling

also, are most of paramount BD movies have high PQ?

I bought and watched SKY CAPTAIN. It has very subdued colors because they filmed it in B&W and then colorized it. Most of it was filmed with blue backgrounds and very minimal sets. It's supposed to be like those old serials from the 30's and 40's. I loved it, actually. And the several special features.

It's just a shame that Paramount, well, you know....

Heh, never got a chance to buy one... I got my PS3 in late July, was looking at a couple titles, and then 8/20 hit.

I purchased Shooter, Flags of our fathers, The Untouchables, and the MI series just before they sold us out. I have not opened or watched any of them yet, still mad I guess.

At the current sales numbers I hope they suffer and wise up. I will not surport them at all until they do. However , I hope they do at some point as they have some good movies in there camp.

I just ordered 10 Warner titles to help our cause.

First, I think Flags and our Fathers (May 2007). 2nd were Untouchable (July) back in Summer 2007. Most titles I replaced Paramount titles on BD during phased out HD DUD last month, expect Nacho Libre.

Please see Collection in my sigs.
