Default Hard time buying just one movie at a time?

Just curious do you guy have a hard time buying just a single BD title at a time when you walk into a retail store to pick up a particular title? For me it seems I always gotta walk out with at least two and sometimes more as there is just so much I want to watch.

Sometimes I go into a store just wanting to buy some movies and not even knowing what specific title I'm going for but just getting whatever I want when I get there. Between Walmart and Futureshop last night I picked up 6 movies. Not a single one of them was a something I went there specifically to get, but I just wanted to get something. I am addicted.

What gets me into trouble at a store like Best Buy is I go in for a specific title, grab it, and instead of going directly to the register, I start "browsing".

I actually rarely buy anything in store although when buying online I usually end up buying more than I originally intended because there's so many deals & if I wait the price will probably go up.

When Im shoppin online I always end up with 2-3 blus. Usually cause I'll get free shipping if I spend x amount. So I just figure might as well get a few more

Yep, I know how that is. Anytime I go into a store for a single movie, I always have to look around for more, in case I missed something. Although, as my collection has gotten bigger, I mostly just come across stuff I already have, so the extra movies don't happen as often.

Same here, I usually wait until a blu I want is 10 bucks on Amazon then I add a few others I have some interest in to get the order amount up to the free shipping range.

Same here. I will be going to pick up Goldeneye on Tuesday but I'll probably walk out with Dark Shadows and maybe Cinderella, too.

Maybe some horror as well since they're putting them on sale this time a year.

I'm just gonna take a guess that this is the case for mostly everyone here, so I don't feel so alone in my addiction as well!

For instance, I went onto Amazon a few nights ago to pick up a few horror movies to watch for Halloween coming up ...... I ended up buying 12 blus.

12 blus is ridiculous when I was only gonna get 2-3! The deals are so much better online than in the store, 10 bucks vs. 15 or 20.

Not anymore. As I found my collection ballooning and realized I was aquiring too many titles with low replay value, I've been very selective. My budget getting way tighter didn't hurt either ha ha. Now I limit to great deals via Amazon Marketplace or the occasional marquee title I just "had" to have week one (like Avengers). I can't recall the last time I purchased more than one at a time.

That's why I love online, you can usually save yourself a few bucks, and I don't mind waiting the few days for them to come in the mail, saves me the stress of having to run around to different stores.

Why is this an addiction that is heavily male dominated?

How come chicks don't have this intense hobby?

The same with why we aren't obsessed with constantly buying and collecting pairs of shoes? Except we all probably watch our blus, where they dont always necessarily wear their shoes, heh?

Yes. On my budget, I find it hard enough just buying that one.

Welcome to my dilemma. Went to pick up just Hugo 3D and The Muppets a couple of days ago...and I wound up picking up Rounders as well, for the hell of it.

Blu-ray's a hell of a drug.

With the abundance of $7.99-9.99 titles out there is extremely difficult to buy one at a time. Just yesterday I purchased Hachi, Absolute Power, and Clear & Present Danger for $27 after tax.

You need to learn to have self-control. Your mind is always going to tell you get more. Unfortunately, you can't always listen to your mind.
