This ran on CBS when I was young, an amazing series, have the DVD, but it would so much benefit from a new remaster and a BD release, story still holds up, and really good acting, both Charlton Heston and Carradine.
Who's door am I supposed to knock on, and beg for this to happen??

You're not alone. I loved this mini-series when I was a kid.

I had it on VHS and again on DVD years and years ago. I'd love to see this at least get a digital release, but a Blu release would be awesome.

Great series, great performances, great story. Of course the reason it might be getting shunned is because of the whipping scene which has racial tones to it, although it's a white man getting whipped for having an interracial relationship.

Spot on😄, this was a big hit here, back in the day, on VHS when you rented 3 movies, and a moviebox (VHS-player) came with.

Even imported the very expensive Japanese DVD-set, hoping it might have better PQ.......it did not��

I also watched it when I was quite young. In fact I think it was the first adult oriented drama, non-science fiction or fantasy, that I watched in full and enjoyed (that I can remember anyway).

I loved this one too, I was 12 when it aired. I need to go back and read the book it was based on. Has this one ever re-aired anywhere since it first aired?
