I kind of expected that release date since Season 1 came out on August 31st last year. I just got Season 1 for $27.49 from Amazon, so as long as I end up liking the show like I expect to, I'll be picking up Season 2 on release day.

Yes! I really like this show, and I did purchase season 1 last year on it's release day so I expect to do the same with Season 2 this year.

I'm liking the cover art as well. It reminds me of the back of season one's case, but that's not a bad thing.

Really looking forward to this coming out as I just bought and watched Season One a few months ago. Looking back at my post from March, I guess I did end up really liking it.

Yeah while I wanted them to use the pic that you used for the second one you posted in the VD thread I also thought they would go for the bed pic out of all of them and wasn't expecting the one we got. Still a cool cover though and can't wait for August 30th.

Over a tvshowsondvd.com the press releases says, that this comes out with DTS-HD Master. This is a Warner-Release so I believe it, when I hear it :-).

Press release would be correct as some of the shows WB has been announcing these past few days are said to be coming with DTS-HD and this is one of them. Seems they've finally listened to fans and are giving us HD audio.

Bought this today on blu-ray (nordic version), glad to see that the audio is DTS-master audio.

Picture quality is also good, hope this season won't get a 3.5 i PQ by the reviewer on this site. When Battlestar Galactica has grain, then it's okay, because it's how it's suppodes to be. But when the Vampire Diaries has grain and is dark like it's supposed to be, then it's not okay.

Funny how a movie/series allways get bad reviews on PQ and AQ when the movie-part gets a bad score.

Personally I think season 2 was an improvement on an already very strong season 1. I will definitely be picking this one up on release day... can't wait for season 3!

Season 2 will be mine once I can grab it for $20- so I will probably be getting it next year.

I too think Season 2 was even better than the first, though I really want it, I will wait for an inevitable price drop several months after. There are just too many other releases I must save for first, lol.

Huh, even though this season got DTS-HD Master audio, i heard no difference from season 1...

And the picture is mostly sharp, but there is incredibly much grain, much more than in season 1. But the content itself is much better than season 1, I like almost all of the storylines, and it's allways exciting.
