Default Click was noisy?

Rented Click, TFE and Corpse Bride this weekend.
I did read the reviews, so more or less I was "prepared" Nevertheless it was surprising.
Click did have lots of grain in few scenes. Later I found DNIe was on for whatever reason on my TV, turned it off, adjusted sharpness, but still... I was rather disapointed to see that on 50gb disc. I donno if i was "shot that way" but why grain on some scenes and not everywhere then. Silent Hill ws more consitently grainy in that regard.
Actually, does anyone else noticed that or it's me or my setup?

TFE was much better than I've anticipated tho. I guess thanks to harsh critics it has received
And the Corpse Bride was absolutely magnificent. I'll be buying that one today.

It appears, in fact, that Click was "Shot that way". There is a good post on AVS by Penton-Man on this subject.

As for TFE, the biggest problem is dirt and specks that are noticed throughout the movie.

I think Click looks superb, the "noise" you see is low light video noise. It's that way on the master.

I'm going to have to order this flick. I enjoy several of Sandler's films and you guys all know how much I enjoy Beckinsale. The trailer looked fun too. Looks like a good family comedy. Can't believe a movie like this hasn't been made before. Certainly we've all wished we had a magical remote to stiffel the women in our lives. Ooh sorry, I'm a pig.

I am not sure it is entirely family friendly - depends on ones levels of tolerance I guess That said I found it to be quite enjoyable. Pleasantly surprised.

Well I was thinking my older boys, 10 & 12, would enjoy it.

I personally just don't like that style, and IMO I think they need better digital cameras that can handle low light conditions. I see this on HD OTA too. I would like to see them improve as well.
