I agree with the other posters here. Right now Hollywood is in the middle of a huge strike, so no support will be heard from that corner.
We all know that Warner is key here. I think we also know that a decision has already been made and hopefully we get word in a month or so. |

just to play a little devil's advocate. it's not all up to warner. yes, warner would be a huge blow to the other camp. but there are other things that could end this. these inclue toshiba dropping their product, universal or paramount switching (whether through out clauses or some other means) or just going neutral. and to lesser extents, directors (especially those with say on how / when product is published) declaring their product will only be published on blu. there is a lot here that can also do it, warner is just the current focus.

Warner is in the spot-light because of all the rumors... but when the Paramount HD-DVD deal happened, it caught everyone by surprise. Who knows, Uni might drop a big bomb and go nuetral... or Dreamworks goes and splits from Paramount and hook up with Sony (when pigs fly). Other war-tipping events would be Lucas releasing Star Wars exclusively in one format and Apple putting a Blu drive in their Macs. |
