I'm renting this first. Not to keen on Jaden after The Karate Kid and The Pursuit of Happiness.

The only way it will make it into my collection is if someone gives it to me for free.

I'll bite for a sub $5 price. It's a fair film and nowhere near as bad as Battlefield Earth, which many are comparing it to.

This is the kind of thing I would be prone to say 'eh, what the hell' if I needed a cheap title to fill out a GoHasting order. And by cheap I mean a PV/Used copy for two or three bucks.

I'm still thinking of seeing this one in the theater, but with Now You See Me and so many others after that, I may not get to it. I know Sony will do a knockout job on the BD so I may have to wait until then.

This one's a real stinker and I like most of Shyamalan's films.

This movie has been slammed by movie fans and critics alike. The one thing that everyone seems to be agreeing on is that they're getting tired of being force-fed Will Smith's son with every movie he makes. The man needs to face facts that movie fans go to see a Will Smith movie actually expect Will Smith to be in the movie. After Earth is nothing more than a "Will Smith appears for five minutes then pimps his son to the audience".

After Earth just seems to be more of an "audition tape" to Hollywood that says "Hey, Look! I'm Will Smith's son, watch how bad my acting is". After watching that interview that Will Smith had with his son, his son seemed to act more like a spoiled brat than anything else.

Before anyone comments on my post, let me first say that I came to this conclusion just recently after I watched that interview and Will Smith was asked if he would be doing the sequel to Independence Day, the movie script that's currently being worked on. His son basically starts whining about the movie with the line "come on, dad, you gotta get me in on that movie" to which Will Smith replies, "maybe".

If someone gave this to me for free, I'd sell it to help fund a Blu-ray I actually want.

This was really a horrible movie one of the worst of the year so far. Horrible acting from Jaden Smith and a slow the pacing for the film was uneven and slow(not that slow is bad but for this tyoe of film it didnt work) I am sure that sony will do a great job on the blu-ray so for those that are interested at least yo will be getting a top notch video and audio transfer with this

It's popular to hate on M. Night Shyamalan and Jaden Smith. Reviewers are getting a 2 for 1. I have a hard time believing this movie is as bad as the reviews state. They can't be ignored though, so I'll have to rent this one first.

Well, it's for good reason. Shyamalan has directed three turds in a row (haven't seen After Earth) and this looks like number four. The man seemed to have a grasp of 'Hitchcockesque' film making until The Lady in the Water. At that point it was all about style and no substance. Then it got even worse with The Happening and there was absolutely no redeeming qualities to The Last Airbender whatsoever. I wonder if he will ever figure this out by himself.
