Most everyone in the Doctor Who thread said this season continued to suck...guess I'll find out when it shows up - maybe tomorrow???

Received my Best Buy copies of series 11 (no slip) and 12 (slip) via USPS today. Ordered a new copy of “Resolution” from eBay for $17 shipped (should have ordered it for $10 along with series 11 for $15 from Best Buy a month or two ago).

I am in the middle of finishing season 11 of X-Files, but Doctor Who series 11 is up next. I was really disappointed with it when it was on air (I loved Jodie and the new aesthetic, but the writing was EMBARASSING) so I stopped after the third or fourth episode. Hoping some time and distance will give me a new perspective.

I wouldn't pay much attention to them.

I hate the phrase, but they define "toxic" fandom.

So, watch it for yourself, because a lot of the online fanbois are as reliable as Amazon's promised delivery date.

IMO this season was leaps and bounds over the previous one.

I liked this season way more than the lad, but I especially loved Sacha Dhawan! He was one of the only redeeming factors in Iron Fist, and it was nice to see him pop up!

Mine shipped a day late, Wednesday, and was to arrive Friday. Then it got delayed by UPS and is now coming Monday. Gotta love that Prime shipping during a pandemic lol.

Mine arrived Thursday. The only item in one of their Manila envelopes. It was a 3 foot long one, which was interesting. The slip cover has a crease in the center almost as if someone pinched it to pick it up.

I'm really excited to watch this again. I seem to have enjoyed Series Eleven more than most of the folks that regularly discuss the show on the internet, but Series Twelve is straight-up one of my favorite seasons of the show ever (along with Seasons 7 and 26 of the classic series and Series Three and Ten of NuWho). I'll always miss the standalone nature of Series Eleven, which brought Doctor Who back to a place where anyone could mostly watch the show at any time without feeling like they're missing much, but I found the overarching narrative to be extremely engaging.

Yeah, in the US, there have been a number of Doctor Who Blu-Rays to inexplicably lose content lately, and I just don't understand.

Anyone else's Best Buy order get delayed? They said if they can't ship it by the 22nd, it'll get cancelled, which would suck because it's gone back to $50+ everywhere.

I think it’s just this one though? Series 10 had its series special. With out Twice Upon a Time not making it into a set. And that one wouldn’t have made sense in series 11's set

I'm actually surprised Resolution isn't on this. They have included previous specials when they weren't regeneration specific (Day of the Doctor being a special occasion) Time of the Doctor and Twice Upon A Time had separate releases but the other Specials (mainly Christmas) were included in a series box sets. Last Christmas and Husbands of River Song on the 9th series box set and Return of Dr. Mysterio on Series 10 to be the most recent.

That said, I'm glad I picked up Resolution last year.
