I believe that I've read it in the news section before that Fox will start releasing a bunch of titles in Europe now that the BD-J feature has been mastered in the Blu-ray spec. And if I recall, I've also heard mention of 28 Weeks Later being released this year. Well, if it is true than a U.S. version is sure to come out as well sometime in the Fall.

If 28 Weeks Later is released, I'm pretty sure 28 Days has to come out as well. Although, I've noticed a trend on Blu that sequels come out before the originals. WEIRD!

I noticed that trend also and it is bothersome. I like to watch movies in sequence. Underworld is a perfect example.

i feel we might have to settle for Romero's orginials before we get the remakes and 28 days/weeks... hopefully fox is just finalizing the BD+ ... please say soon!!! resident evil is a poor excuse for a zombie movie... way to ruin a damn good series.

they exhibit typical zombie behavior, just not dead... and FYI, most modern zombies are "infected" by some kind of space virus or genetically engineered thingamabob... yes, you are an anal retentive :-P

Does anyone know what Blu-Ray will do to make this movie look better , I know it was shot to look the way it does on dvd (CRAPPY LOOKING), not saying i dont love the movie , just hope it can look alot better , since it was intended to look that way , what can they fix , and what will be the same? (I Apologize if this has already been talked about in a earlier thread)

It will look exactly the way the fimmakers intended it to look... much like "300" and all the BS whining surrounding the PQ of that release, these films should never, ever be altered.

They won't, and shouldn't, do anything to make it "look better." It was meant to look gritty and dirty. That look should be preserved even in hi-def...or else I'll be returning my copy after I buy it.

The only problem is, 28 Days Later was shot on PAL (Standard Definition!) video. I'm very surprised Fox are releasing it on BD at all. I wonder if they'll realise this and 'postpone' it like they've done with other titles?

They wouldn't have announced it if they didn't think it was worth it. 'postponement' of tiles were regarding BD+ not any encoding issues.
