Question Diabolik DVD Packaging and Coupons

Hi Everyone!

So I want to pre-order this sexy beast

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Shaws...lu-ray/294876/

I want it to arrive pristine though. So even though it is cheaper, I think Amazon and BestBuy are out.

Is Diabolik the best way to go? Best packaging, etc? (I could only find ten year old reviews and things can ...change over the years). I am a bit nervous because they basically say in their terms, if it arrives damaged, oh well, stuff happens.

Also, I see on their order page there is a spot to enter a coupon. Is that their to just mock and torture you or are there actually discounts to be had? If so does anyone have a code?

I also saw a slightly more expensive (for me because of taxes) place, Grindhouse, in Tampa, FL. are they worse, better, equivalent?

Thank you!

Diabolik is great. I've never had an issue because they know how to package. That said, if it arrives damaged, they usually have a stock of these sets specifically set aside as replacements.

I don't know if there's a discount code, as I've never used one.

Have you had any experience with this? That is great to hear! That would set aside all my worries if true!

It does look like you can pre-order on Amazon, btw. However, I've had way more issues with large boxsets getting damaged from Amazon than from Diabolik.

Yeah, they are cheaper too, but I have had so many issues with box sets (and other items) damaged from Amazon.

I did make out once on it though, Amazon Canada shipped and X-files Complete Blu Ray set with 1 bubble in a box that was WAY to big. It arrived with a big dent in a corner.

When I contacted them, they said they would ship another, well packed this time, and to just give away the damaged set.

They shipped a second set, the exact same way, and it got the same dent.

I never bothered a third time.

I want this to arrive pristine though!

If you order from Diabolik then your box set will be inspected before packaging. It will also be packaged appropriately. On the chance that there is some damage in transit, you'll be able to swap out no issue. The people running that place are pretty great and know how particular we can be!

To me the ease of customer service when needed is worth the extra $5-10

Wow! So you have experience with that and know they will swap if something happens in transit?

If that is true, that seals the deal! I did not think from their terms online that was an option (hopefully I will not need to use that, it is just reassuring that it is an option just in case)

I've only had to contact for replacement once. It was for the Jodorowsky box set. The box was punctured in transit and smashed one of the amarays in the box. They swapped out the broken part of the box.

All my dealings with Diabolik have been great. Highly recommended. I love their selections. Amazon on the other hand... I've never received anything from them that's not damaged.

Just received my first order from Diabolik today. I'm in Canada, so it's becoming increasingly difficult to buy physical media, and online is really the only choice left these days.

Ordered a couple of Steelbooks from Diabolik, and I'm happy to report I'm greatly satisfied with their shipping method. Nice sturdy cardboard box, and both Steelbooks wrapped in bubble wrap.

I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Very poor experience.
I bought two steelbooks and asked to take care to packaging, since I live far distant, in Italy.
They use a small box with a bubble wrap bag, the steelbooks were free of float inside.
Because of their poor package, I received damaged products, dents, loose discs and I can hear plastic pieces inside if I shake one of them.
Contacted customer care, they reply on another mail and said the return costs will be credited in the form of shop credit, BUT they don't ship me steelbook anymore, so the shop credit is a joke.
Very, very bad experience.
If that is the assistance and way of packaging, buy with confidence from DeepDiscount or Amazon...
