Speed Racer live action movie. The movie could definitely improve just with upgraded sound.

The camera used is sub 1080p, so I doubt we will see much of an improvement there. Depending on the master they have, an HDR pass could show some benefit.

I remember seeing this in 35mm (oh, the good old days of film prints...sigh) and it looked rather flat. I can only imagine how poorly the image would hold up on a 15/70 IMAX screening!

^ the tech has improved significantly since back then, hell AotC had to have its runtime trimmed just to fit on an IMAX platter back in 2002, so that should tell you how far things have come.

Yeah, I thought I read that somewhere. I suppose an upscale from such low resolution wouldn't do the film much favors either.

Star Wars Episode I was at least shot in 35mm. Episodes II and III wasn't even shot in 2K

Would love for some catalog titles to be released. So far I've seen only recent movies that already look good on SD blu-ray. A lot of titles released during the first five years of blu-ray would benefit in resolution and encoding.

North by Northwest looks incredible on BD, can't even imagine how much more a UHD could do for it.

the 4K DCP is superior to the bluray in my mind. Better colors and sharpness

John Wick is one that really would benefit from an 4K UHD i'm sure the 2nd one will get it once the bluray comes out.

Would love to see a high bitrate, 4k scan of Predator's 35mm film without any of the dnr and ee applied. Am hoping for a properly restored 30th anniversary UHD for it in 2017.

A UHD release of Fury in native 4k with no black crush is also something I'd be very interested in.
