There are some cars/movies that should not be on the list, like Iron Man and Big Lebowski.

Some missed include:
Big Trouble in Little China
Cobra
Better Off Dead
Lethal Weapon
The A-Team
Baby Driver
Jeepers Creepers

Could we also include the Landspeeder and Sandcrawler from Star Wars?

Any James Bond or Batman movie. The car is a character we look forward to seeing.

Was there an 'iconic' vehicle in Lethal Weapon?

Agree that Iron Man & Big Lebowski are weird inclusions. Guess they got to about 40 & then started scraping the barrel...

I have no memory of the car they've included from Moonraker.

Also, where's Sam Raimi's Oldsmobile on that list? You don't get much more iconic than that!

From the article.

Notable cars that did not make the list as they were made famous in television shows include KITT from Knight Rider, the A-Team‘s GMC Vandura and the Ferrari 308 GTS in Magnum P.I.

Roger Murtaugh's Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser (looked like a station wagon).

Whatever car that is from Moonraker is NOT iconic in any way shape, or form. I'd put the yellow Citroen from For Your Eyes Only ahead of THAT.

Where is the Dodge Challenger from Vanishing Point? Or the GTO and/or '55 Chevy from Two Lane Blacktop?

And if they are excluding vehicles made famous from TV, whey are they including Dukes of Hazzard, Starsky & Hutch, or Scooby-Doo? Those were made famous by TV shows, not the mediocre film versions. By that standard, the A-Team van should be included by virtue of the 2010 film starring Liam Neeson.

Didn't the article include Bumblebee, who was iconic well before the Michael Bay movies came out. Since they included Bumblebee, I thought the van from The A-Team was fair game because of the movie.

Just did a quick google search and the van used in the movie was not original.
Maybe the cars used in the other movies where the original model. Who knows.
Bumblebee was a VW on the show.

I'm pretty sure the Mystery Machine used in the Scooby-Doo movie was not the original either for obvious reasons.

Probably about as iconic as Iron Man's Audi or Lebowski's rustheap. ie. not very.

I can't imagine many people seeing a picture of it would immediately think; 'Lethal Weapon', but maybe that's just me. .

The Toyota 2000GT from "You Only Live Twice" didn't have much air time in the film, but has become legendary on the collector car market. Two one-off "convertible models" were built specifically for the film.

It's not just you. The only car of note I remember was in Lethal Weapon 2, where it was Trish's car and it gets trashed during the opening car chase. But even that would hardly be called iconic.

They really should have also included the Batmobile from the Adam West era, which was far more iconic than the Tumbler.

The triple black 440-6 barrel 1971 Plymouth Barracuda that was featured in Phantasm (1979). I owned a "Cuda" in the 1980s but nothing like this beauty!

These should've been included:
Cobra - Mercury Coupe
Maximum Overdrive - Goblin truck
GoodFellas - either Henry Hill's Cadillac or the Pink Cadillac where Johnny Roastbeef got whacked
Drive - Chevy Malibu
