Didn't the article include Bumblebee, who was iconic well before the Michael Bay movies came out. Since they included Bumblebee, I thought the van from The A-Team was fair game because of the movie.

Just did a quick google search and the van used in the movie was not original.
Maybe the cars used in the other movies where the original model. Who knows.
Bumblebee was a VW on the show.

I'm pretty sure the Mystery Machine used in the Scooby-Doo movie was not the original either for obvious reasons.
