Default Issues With Blu Ray Player

I've never posted here before, so I hope this is the right place for my question. If not, please feel free to move it to wherever it's supposed to go.

I've had my Samsung BD E5700 blu ray player since 2012, and I've never had any significant issues with it. However, I recently bought the UK blu rays of Daredevil seasons 1 and 2, and they both skipped. However, it wasn't the way discs normally skip. Normally, if a disc skips, it will happen at the same point every time, but this was different. It would skip, and then I would rewind it a bit, and the part that skipped would play through with no problem. Then if I would take it out and put it back in, it would do the same thing, but it would skip at different points than when I played it the first time. Both sets did this, so I returned them, and I bought the US version of season 2, and it did the same thing. So I'm pretty sure it's my blu ray player rather than the discs, but the strange thing is that it's never done this with any other discs.

So basically my question is this: does anybody have any idea what could be going on? Is it possible that my blu ray player is just incompatible with those specific blu rays for some reason, or is this a sign that my blu ray player is starting to die (even though it still doesn't do that with any other discs)? Or does that sound like it could be the discs, even though it happened with 3 different sets? I don't know much about this stuff, so any help you guys can give is much appreciated. Thanks!
