The Gimp from Pulp Fiction.

Who was he?

Where did he come from?

How did he get there?

Did he have a job?

...a home?

...a wife and kids?

How long had he been there?

Quentin Tarantino is famous for creating elaborate backstories for his characters.

I think the most fascinating movie he could make would be a prequel to Pulp Fiction that delves into the origins of The Gimp leading up to the moment before PF when he was first kidnapped and thrown into sexual bondage.

...starring Steve Buscemi as The Gimp.

I thought it would have been a great twist if that actually was the Maltese Falcon. They scratch off the paint and reveal the cheap lead statue, then someone else scratches the lead and reveals the real treasure underneath.
