Default When is UNIVERSAL HOME VIDEO jumping on the Blu-ray "bandwagon"?!

Most off all the tiltes I want are from them.
I don't want an HD-DVD/Blu-ray combo player.
Anybody got in LASTEST info?

Wait for the Warner jump first. The rest will follow.

i suspect Toshiba cast some sort of voodoo curse on them to make them stick to HD DVD then mircosoft showed them that it was easier just to bribe people instead of using voodoo when they got paramount to jump ship.

Microsoft has an agreement with NBC (that's how they get MSNBC). NBC and Universal are both part of GE. NBC recently upped its contract with MS for MSNBC. Wouldn't be too far of a stretch to think that Microsoft made a deal to have Universal go HD exclusive in the states.

Just wait for the inevitable. There are plenty of great titles currently available and soon to be released on Blu-ray. The pressure from the industry, manufacturers, retailers and consumers is for one unified format. The only choice to accomplish that is Blu-ray. Warner can and will end this war soon.

Sadly we all know, the longer this war is dragged on the less likely HDM will survive. That is why WB coming to the blu-side is so essential. That is why we are all buying up WB titles this month like crazy. The BOGO's helped a lot by the way. We the people can sway this thing right now. WB will be blu if we keep it up, and then companies like Universal and Paramount will have the weight of the entire industry thrust upon their shoulders. They'll break. They'll crack. It'll just be a matter of time. And we all know how time can be when there's a 300lb. guy sitting on your chest.... slow.

Universal will jump into the Blu-ray bandwagon after Sony and Fox joins the HD DVD bandwagon.

That's the way Microcrap acts : they know they can win only if they're the only ones remaining (I've known many OS and windows is far from the best) so they have to make the others destroy each other, and many people love money more than the rest so that's "money talks".

Who's they? I'd assume you're talking about WB, but we were talking about Universal... So which is it?

There are so many titles that I won't buy until they go blu, because I don't buy DVDs anymore and I sure as hell wouldn't buy a DuD.

Heroes
Battlestar Galactica
Children of Men

Just off the top of my head

Last thing I heard on the site was Universal in there own words said they were never going to release in BLU which was a little disheartning, yet at the same time they were seen in a BLU-RAY factory so....your guess is as good as mine!!! I personally really really really want Uni. on the BLU side

...and actions speak louder than words. They'll switch next year, at least to neutral.

And concievably they could do it before a Warner switch, though I wouldn't hold my breath; right now the BDA would probably be happy to give them concessions to go neutral, but the day Warner goes BD exclusive those are porbably off the table, since the war will be won regardless.

So it's at least possible that Universal would try to beat WB to the punch, much the way Paramount beat Warner to the punch by a few days back when they first announced they would support both formats (ironic, in retrospect).
