Default blu-ray stutter

Hello all, I have a problem I'm hoping someone can help me with. When I play some blu-ray movies on my PS3 at certain points in the film, the picture stutters briefly. It doesn't last but a second or two, but can occur quite often during a film. The people move kind of like they are animated or something. It is rather frustrating and obnoxious. It doesn't happen in every movie or seem to occur during any specific type of scene. I haven't noticed any similar problems when playing games or viewing standard DVD's. I have not really played with any of the settings yet. I will try and provide more information as necessary. I kind of feel like I'm back at square one with this HD stuff Thanks

All of my blu-rays play fine on my PS3. Have you downloaded the latest firmware?

First thing I'd tell you to do is make sure you have the latest firmware installed which is 2.10 right now. That should clear it up, but if not check all your settings and connections. How do you have it hooked up to your tv? Hdmi or component? Does it go straight to your tv or pass through you receiver? The only playback problem I've ever had was with Flyboys. The picture would freeze for about 10-20 seconds and then resume playing, like it was stuck. It did this about 4 times throughout the movie, but haven't had any other problems. Post back your results.

I agree with the other posts/replys. Most of the time with any sort of issue with the PS3 it is due to not keep current with the updates. These are a must to be kept up on. Take the time to do this, it's important.

Start trouble shooting. Try another HDMI port on the tv if possible. Try another tv if possible. Try using the SCART cable (not sure if blu plays through that though).

Try that stuff first. See if anything changes. Also, is this on all discs or just one?
