I Saw the TV Glow

According to Blu-ray.com, this release is coming from Lionsgate in about two-and-a-half weeks, but I can find no preorder links for it at any retailer, and not even a UPC for the product. Does anyone know what’s going on with this title?

Not sure why it has that date, but there is zero indication of a release at the moment. I could see it being an A24 exclusive in the future.

It is coming out in Canada from another company on July 23rd

I think 2 months out from a theatrical release, with no wide disc release announced at this point it's like 95% likely it'll be from A24 themselves (along with Problemista soon, hopefully)

Just because it hasn’t been in theaters in Australia shouldn’t stop a Blu from coming out in the US.

Also I know Lionsgate always locks their Blus, but aren’t the shop exclusives usually Region Free?

I'm going to assume it's safe enough for me to change the distributor on the page from Lionsgate to A24, seeing how it's two weeks before release and no press things have been announced.

It does, however, stop me from watching it, which is the source of my frustration.

I remember the same thing with Aftersun, it'd been out for ages on disc before it hit theaters here. It was even on MUBI, somewhere in the world (VPN!), thankfully hitting theaters only a couple of days after I subscribed so I hadn't watched it yet.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one waiting for this one. Sadly missed it before it left theaters and the digital rental fee is about the cost of buying a blu-ray

From what I’ve read, A24 will be releasing it on blu ray on July 30th, not 100% sure though.

This one is either coming from Lionsgate or from A24 as a Shop Exclusive. As others have said previously in this thread, my assumption at this point is that it's going to be an A24 Shop Exclusive. The listed release date is probably incorrect at this point (unless A24 announces it tomorrow and has it in stock and shipping immediately). They've (A24) released the soundtrack on vinyl directly through their website already and also released a t-shirt (which wasn't even a collaboration with Online Ceramics/Haunted Wagon like most of their shirts are). Again, my hunch is that if this was coming from Lionsgate, we'd already know that for sure by now and there'd be preorder links, etc. A24 is really behind this movie (understandably so, from my point of view, but, as always, YMMV) and I think everything right now points to this release being a Shop Exclusive. I personally hope there will be a 4K option (most of their exclusives are available as both, so I assume this will be available in 4K as well). The colors in this one ought to really pop in 4K.
