I just love that it is a DTS HDMA film with MPEG-2 on a BD-25!
They said it couldn't be done. |

Well the movie is shorter than the original. So that's probably why it's do-able.
![]() I like the first one better though. fuad |

I gotta agree with Chad's review of the movie itself though. Way too cheesy for me. I saw it in the theater with my friends, and I was totally let down, especially since I thought the first one was pretty good. How he got the bomb off the car was just so lame, lol.
Though its still great news that the Blu-ray came out good. I don't even have to worry about quality issues anymore. |

Jason Statham alone makes the movie "sell" already.

somebody please enlighten me. I thought 18 Mbps is suppose to be not so good for video quality. I thought 30~ 40 Mbps suppose to be the bomb for ultimate picture.... Aren't all BD movies are encoded in MPEG2? I didn't know there are other types of video files they use for BD. Explain plz..

Doesn't matter what codec is used, if it looks great thats all that matters. Transporter 2 is indeed reference, and it had the wow factor. Would use it to show off to friends without hesitation.

Glad I found this thread. I noticed these BD's at Wally World the other day but didn't get them because the back stated 18Mbps. I compared this to IRobot which stated like 36Mbps and got confused. Everyone says how great IRobot looks so I thought, there's no way TR 1 and 2 look good. Came here, read, BAM! Now I can go buy these for $10 each!
