Default Omega Man on Blu-

Regardless of what you may think of the movie, the PQ is stunning IMHO. Consider that this is a movie that came out in the 70s, and the transfer looks like they shot it last year. Wow!
I'm just more and more impressed with Blu-Ray.
I have a Sony 500 and my son has the 300, between the two of us, we have about 25 movies so far.
My only issue with Blu-ray so far, is finding time to watch these movies.

Thanks for the welcome. Omega man is a pretty good movie, but I was really impressed with the PQ.
In fact, I don't have a Blu-ray disc I'm not impressed with.
Everyone I show the Blu-ray discs to, are just amazed.
I really wish this format war would end, I think Blu-Ray would really take off then, and prices would drop even more.
Everyone that sees it is impressed, it's just they don't want get on the wrong side of the format war.

Congratulations on choosing the Format with Longevity. It took me about 3 months not to drop my jaw everytime I put on a BD movie. Now I am almost unable to watch even upscaled 1080i DVDs. Blu-ray has destroyed my retinas. Nothing else will do anymore. Welcome to this awesome site!

I've noticed lately that if a DVD upscales well then it was a very sharp DVD in the first place.

Also if the DVD was sharp, then the Blu-ray is also top notch.

I watched the DVD of Omega Man recently and it was very sharp. Unfortunately I didn't think much of the movie. No Blu-ray for me on this title.

I know what you mean. I've not gotten accustomed to Blu ray yet..so my jaw still drops when I put a disc in.

We share some movies, some are exclusively his.
